SUNY College Camp Hike
Start: 09:30

Leaders: Virginia and Currie Marr, 432-5434. Loop hike starting on the "red trail" and returning on the "orange trail" at SUNY's College Camp. Meet in the parking lot of Price Chopper at 9:30 am, or in the parking lot of College Camp by 9:45 am.
Additional Information:
1) Dogs are not allowed on College Camp property
2) Park in the first lot across from the Observatory Structures. Do not park next to the Lodge
3) Restroom facilities in the basement of the Lodge will be available
4) Lunch can be eaten in the basement of the Lodge or outdoors

Finger Lakes Trail Hike

Leaders: Ernie or Heide Mahlke 432-2583. Hike a moderately strenuous route on the Finger Lakes Trail. Start from Steam Mill Rd (south of Masonville) to County Hwy 27. Only 4.3 miles, but it will seem like more. Rainy weather moves hike to Sunday the 9th.

Thatcher State Park Near Altamont

Tuesday, November 11 hike in Thatcher State Park. Meet at Price Chopper parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and car pool to Altamont. Bring lunch and water. Hike will be canceled, if weather is inclement. Call Jean and Joe Seroka 988-7007

Nature Conservancy's West Branch Preserve Hike
Start: 09:30

The Tuesday hike on November 18 will meet at the Hanaford parking lot in Oneonta at 9:30. We will hike at The Nature Conservancy's West Branch Preserve which is closed to hunting. It is located on Route 10 near Hamden in Delaware County. The outstanding features of the area are its stand of old growth pine and hemlock trees and a remarkable, very large white oak. We try to visit this tree each year and encourage it. There are long and short trails, neither one very demanding. Bring a lunch. Nina and Joe, 829-8358

Meeting Cancelled - Stalter's Class II

This is a reminder that Dr. Stalter's first class on his "High Altitude Climbing" adventures is on for this Wed., Nov 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Morris Hall on the SUCO Campus. Since the second class has been scheduled for Nov. 19 and Jean Seroka is his class assistant, the ADK dinner meeting planned for that evening will not be held. All ADKers are welcome to attend these two CCAL classes. Call Lucille Wiggin 432-1022 or Jean Seroka 988-7007 for directions. Parking is very available during evening hours.

Greetings to all Susquehanna ADK members. The hike planned for the SUCO Biological Field property at Thayer Farm on 11/25/08 is cancelled. It will be rescheduled for another date . The weather for Tuesday is for a severe snow storm and ice on highways. The rescheduling date will be available soon. For more information call Norma Lee Havens at 607 432 3154.
