Previous Hike Information:
The hike on November 25th will be at the SUCO Biological Field Station's Thayer Farm Property and Nature Center located 6 miles north of the Biological Field Station entrance on Route 80 in Cooperstown. The Thayer property features several marked trails, ponds and a Nature Center to explore. Parking available just inside the gate on the western side of the road or at the top of the hill by the Nature Center. We will do the red, yellow and orange trails. Bring your lunch and water. You will need hiking boots. PLEASE REMEMBER it will be hunting season. Wear brightly colored--red , orange or neon colored clothing. The Field Station has arranged for us to have a safe environment. Dress for the weather, it is windy on the hill.
The Oneonta people will leave from the Price Chopper parking lot at 9 AM and at 9:35 AM at the Historical Museum Village Crossroads in Cooperstown to share rides. Or, if you know the location of the Thayer Property gate we will meet at the lower parking lot by 10 AM or so. For more information please call Norma Lee Havens, 607- 432- 3154
