Clip, Clop, Waggle-Walk – Tuesday, April 21, 2009

The Clip, Clop, Waggle-Walk at Lake Arnold state and county forests on April 21 was about as easy a workday as we’ve had. Sixteen Waggle – Walkers attended (a goodly number) and we were able to form two groups and do the entire trail in about three hours. Blowdown was light and we barely warmed up the saws. Linda Pearce brought a battery- operated chain saw. I didn’t see this tool working but I noticed that it is a lot lighter than my gas saw. Most of the work was clipping back and tossing sticks out of the trail. The weather was nearly perfect. No rain, no sun, no bugs and mild. Here’s a hoist lopping shears salute to all who came.
