Twenty-three ADKers enjoyed a 2 mile hike in the vicinity of Sally and Rod Hebbard’s home on Franklin Mountain. Participants followed wooded trails and roads and sometimes crossed meadows. Along the way interesting ponds, stone structures, and wild life were observed. After lunch and delicious brownies made by Sally, some participants swam in Hebbard’s pond while others looked at Sally’s flowers and vegetable garden. Photographs taken by Currie Marr include: 1) a group photo, 2) mountainous skyline, 3) Sally’s perennials, 4) cairn, 5) stone pavilion, 6) stone bridge, 7) water lily in Hebbard’s pond, 8) floating rock, and 9) Sally’s vegetable garden.
