Report by Julie Smith On Tues. April 12, 22 ADKers met at Pine Lake to enjoy trails around the Environmental Center. Half the group walked the railroad bed and the other half hiked up to Mud Lake and back. It turned out to be a lovely spring day with some sunshine. Many saw the Eagle nest that is high in one of the pines near the outlet. Hikers ate their lunch outside at the picnic tables. For those that heard and saw the many frogs singing at Mud Lake will be happy to know the species is the wood frog. Thanks to the Marr family who did the research. Photograph by Julie Smith.
