Report by Currie Marr On a gray but perfectly dry day 19 ADKers hiked 2 miles in Fortin Park in the town of Oneonta. The hike began on the hill side behind Mrs. Fortin’s house and continued in the flood plain portion following the Susquehanna River and then Charlotte Creek. Along Charlotte Creek we saw evidence of stream redirection due to trees downed by storms Irene and Lee resulting in extensive erosion in other areas of the creek. On a more cheery note we also saw Skunk Cabbage tips eager to bloom and let us know that spring is around the corner.
