Report by Charlene Higgins – Twenty-one hikers traversed the trails at Wilber Park in Oneonta, N.Y. We had a beautiful fall day with full sun and perfect temperatures. Unfortunately, the only wildlife that we saw were 3 wooly bear catapillers. We hiked approx. 2.3 miles on the winding trails that lead from the upper park near the pavilion to the housing development past the high school and back. Many of the trees were loosing their leaves already and didn’t have much color other than yellow. After our return to the parking lot, several members had their lunch in the pavilion. All in all, everyone commented on what a nice hike we had today. Photographs by Doug Fielder.
