Report by Mary Dunkle – As in the past several years the ski day on Cooperstown Golf Course was impossible with no snow. The next choice was a trek up and around Wellington Mt. (also known as Sleeping Lion) at the north end of Otsego Lake in Glimmerglass State Park. Lots of rain, wet leaves and mud made this a not so good idea. So on to Plan C, a hike along lake beginning at Hyde Hall, then back to Pond, Covered Bridge and ski trails. Of special interest was the covered bridge, the oldest not just in New York State but in the country. Then on to Mary’s where 24 of us enjoyed soup. Tradition! Photographs by Currie Marr.
