Report by Ruth Schaeffer – Twenty ADK hikers started a short hike at the Creekside trail at Valley View hiking trails in Unadilla at 10:00 on a windy, but sunny day. It was chilly at the start, but the wind died down and the sun took over so that we had a nice picnic lunch around the pond after the hike. Just a few of the sightings included, trilliums and marsh marigolds, which were beautiful! Among the many birds spotted was a yellow warbler. We heard a prairie warbler and a field sparrow. The view over the valley was beautiful. The blow down that came thru the valley last fall was pointed out. Something new this time was the walk along the creek. The wild flower photo sequence is: White Trillium, Bluets, Gaywings and Wood Anemone. Photos of Gaywings and Wood Anemone were taken by Doug Fielder. Other photos are by Currie Marr.
