Clark Tower Hike – Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Report by Bev Hensle – There were 15 of us that gathered to hike the Clark`s Tower trails. It was a beautiful, sunny morning and everyone was happy to be out enjoying the beauty of the area. We were amazed to see the many beautiful spider webs along the trail and on the pond. We visited the famous Clark`s Tower and gravesite of Ambrose, and his horse and hunting dog-Buttons. Many different stories were exchanged about the tower. It was a great hike and we covered 3.7 miles. Some went to Carefree Gardens for lunch.  Photographs: Top row photos taken by Betsy O’Brian and bottom row taken by Fred Johnson.
