Report by Jim and Carolyn Austin – For the first time, twenty-three hikers walked trails at the Homer Folks State Forest. The trail ‘Black Coffee’, led us around picturesque shale rock formations. The trails were developed as mountain bike paths and were leaf covered for our walk. The day was cloudy with mid 40’s temperatures. The first sprinkles of rain began as the hike ended.
