Wilber Park Hike – Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Report by Currie Marr – The “Widowmaker” is the most difficult mountain bike trail in Wilber Park. From the ridge entrance, the trail divides into a right branch heading steeply downhill and a left branch on the plateau. The group took the left trail that had about 50 minor and major curves along its length. This funky feature greatly extended the distance between connecting points. The weather was perfect for the 16 people on this 2 ½ hour hike. Along the way fungi, Indian Pipe, Butter Nuts, and nature’s art objects were noticed and appreciated.
