Report by Linda Pearce – Fifteen people met to walk the 2.5 mi. Greenway trail along the Susquehanna River. We were amazed to see all the recent beaver activity along the river. Many sapling-size trees had been removed and larger ones had been gnawed. One of the early signs of spring was evident with the emergence of skunk cabbage. Soon we’ll have some pretty wild flowers to enjoy, as well as the returning and migrating birds that frequent our area. We were happy to welcome back Ruth Schaeffer from Florida and Fred Johnson who had recent health issues. Photos by Betsy O’Brien
