Report by Lucille Wiggin – Tuesday, May 22, was a rainy day, again, so only eight of us assembled in Neahwa Park for a walk. We actually covered a couple of miles around the periphery of the park, along the Mill Race to River St. stopping to read the stones commemorating founders of Oneonta and back along the Veteran’s Walk Way, It was noted that Oneonta and Silver Creeks join the Mill Race which back in history ran two or three mills near River Street. Anyone who would hike in rain requiring an umbrella must be really dedicated. Photo by Julie Smith.
