Report by Kathy Carey – Eleven ADK hikers met at the Bloomville trailhead of the rail trail now known as the Catskill Scenic Trail. The group has hiked sections in the middle of the trail before, and the hike of this particular section was scheduled earlier this spring, but it had to be abruptly terminated when a thunderstorm moved into the area. This time the weather was warm and sunny after a storm the day before, and the group did an out-and back hike of about 4 miles. Along the way patches of “Canada Lily” were in bloom.
