Report by Ruth Schaeffer – Seventeen hikers met at the bottom of Vroman’s Nose to hike on Tues, August 28th. It was a beautiful hot, hazy, humid summer day. Armed with lunches, lots of water and gorp we enjoyed our lunch on the top. It is always fun to be on a hike with hikers that haven’t been to the top. When they see the view of the valley for the first time it is exciting!! They all agreed that they would be back on this hike soon. Most all of the people agreed they were stopping for ice cream and a good time was had by all. Photos by Betsy O’Brien: The mushroom photographed is a “Coral Fungus” in the genus Ramaria.
