Report by Currie Marr – When an early morning radio host reported the wind-chill temperature to be -8, the trip leader put a cancellation notice on the website and later went to Fortin parking lot to see if anyone showed. Surprise! Fourteen hearty souls were there, eager to enjoy the outdoors and bright sun. The canceled trip now had revived. Six people skied in the park and 8 walkers ascended the hill behind Fortin House and walked the roads of Angel Heights and Morning Side.
