Trip Report by Betsy Cunningham – On a drizzly day in August, seventeen ADK members traveled to Jefferson for a woodland walk. We began on a car-less country road lined with ferns, birches and wild flowers. Paths through an adjoining field were covered with wild thyme and filled with milkweed and fruit trees. As we walked the fragrance of thyme filled the air. Our hike ended in a pine forest which is the home of the Cunningham tree house. Being in the tree tops promoted appreciation of the beauty of our area.
