Report by Glenda Bolton – There’s nothing like a beautiful late summer hike and 19 ADK members did just that, on August 27th. We visited Palmer Hill, a new hike for ADK, located just outside the village of Andes. We hiked both the Upper and Lower Meadows Trails for an invigorating 3.7 mile hike. Each trail took us through lovely wildflower meadows that offered wide open views of the surrounding mountains. Along the way we saw ancient stone walls and age old tree stands. The spectacular view of the Catskill high peaks began and ended our trek from the scenic overlook. Many agreed we should plan to visit Palmer Hill again in the near future. Photos by Betsy O”Brien
