Report by Glenda Bolton – A week before the holiday and 11 ADKer’s were given the magic of Christmas snow as an early present as we traversed the Red Pine Trail at Gilbert Lake State Park. A more beautiful, late fall day would not have been possible. A highlight was the call of a nearby raven, sounding much more like a dog than the poetic refrain “Nevermore.” We also stopped to decorate and take photos at the Charlie Brown Tree. This hike represented the best of the holidays; being out in nature on a pristine day with great company!
