Report by Linda Pearce. A crisp and sunny autumn morning awaited the ten ADKers that met at Milford State Forest for a 3 ½ mile hike. The first section of the hike was on a wide snowmobile trail. After walking up the seasonal State Land Road, we hiked a 1 ¼ mile loop on the north side of the forest. The final section of the hike took us by a beaver pond. As we approached the pond, a pair of ducks took flight overhead, followed by six Canada geese. It was an enjoyable fall walk through the woods.
